It’s time to check out some new songs, let’s get in to this week’s release radar
NERVOUS- While She Sleeps Ft Simon Neil

Opening with slow violin like sounds, introduces its guitar and drum with a kick, as well as the vocals. The song takes a slower part again before going all out with its vocals and instrumentals. Going in a rawer direction on the vocals the song also seems to give piano notes the undertone. Switching up halfway through the calmer atmosphere makes way for some growling vocals adding to the loud and soft contrast of the song. Instrumentality and vocally the band goes with one last loud part on the bridge and ends with the same soft tones as at the start of the song.
Lyrically the song talks about struggling with metal illness and is as the band put it themselves a reflection of their own struggles with mental health.
What I like about this song is the contrasting loud and soft parts, which feel like a metaphor for the contrasting in once head when they are fighting a mental illness.
Sticky- The Maine

Starting of with upbeat sounding guitars and lone vocals, the song slowly adds more instrumentation going full-blown with the happy tunes on the chorus. Going a little slower on the second verse the song keeps its upbeat tempo, until the pre-chorus where the song goes slower for a moment, giving the chorus a blast. The bridge flows by quickly and the song ends with one last chorus.
Lyrically the song feels like a love song, with the protagonist talking how a person keeps sticking like a song in their head.
What I like about this song is the upbeat nature, giving me summer vibes and being totally with my expectations of the Maine.
Perfume- De’wayne ft Awsten knight

Opening with distorted guitars and De’wayne his slow vocals, the song quickly gets to the chorus with only beats on the instrumentation. The second chorus is sung by Awsten and goes to the chorus just as quickly. Taking things slower on the bridge, the song adds some finger snapping before going back into one last chorus to end the song on.
Lyrically the song describes a hate love relationship with another person.
What I like about the song are the quick beats and the overall flow the song seems to have, as well as the chemistry between De’wayne and Awsten.
WORLDWIDE CATASTROPHE- Royals

Kicking off with rhythmic drums and fast guitars, the song slows down its instrumentation with the vocals and quickly flows from verse to chorus, the second verse seems to add synths to the instrumentals and takes this with them to the second chorus. Going for a more poppy bridge first, the second part goes with a stripped down instrumentation. The song ends with one last chorus.
Lyrically the song deals with the current world and the feeling of watching it go down
What I like about this song is the quick instrumentation combined with poppy hooks which at some parts reminded me of acts like neck deep
Divers- Ok Cool

Starting with slow guitar an a pair of vocalist the sing keeps more of an indie vibe going forward into an instrumental pre-chorus. The guitar and drum keep with their on the second verse with also plays out the song
Lyrically the song seems to describing a day when everything just seems to go wrong, and you only seem to be diving deeper.
What I like about this song is the indie feel as well as the quick pace, giving a relaxing feel while being over before you know it.
