Its time for a new instalment of release radar, let’s dive right into the releases.
FUNERAL GREY – Waterparks

This song is more on the emotional spectrum of pop punk, reminding me of 2000s Emo more than pop punk. With that being said the song does grab you form the start and its emotional tones feel heartfelt. Lyrically the song is about trying to make it and overthinking, which helps with the raw and emotional sound of the vocals.
On My Own – Voltage Avenue

This song is more on the emotional spectrum of pop punk, reminding me of 2000s Emo more than pop punk. With that being said the song does grab you form the start and its emotional tones feel heartfelt. Lyrically the song is about trying to make it and overthinking, which helps with the raw and emotional sound of the vocals.
This Year – Kick Me Out

Going into heavier instrumentation with this track, the intro gets your head banging immediately. The lighter vocals drag you in and bring slowly build with the anger of the song into the chorus. mixing in grunting vocals gives the chorus its edge. Clashing with the softer tones of the verse. Lyrically the song talks about the uncertainty of live and the roughness of the past years.
Out of My Head – Charlotte Sands ft Aaron Gillespie

The song brings out the best in both Charlotte and Aaron. The song is soft and vulnerable, but kicks of on the bridge. Lyrically the song goes into the struggles with feelings.
The Internet – MILES FT LØLØ

The song is mostly carried by electronic beats and has an 8-bit vibe to it, almost reminding me of Myspace pop but with cleaner production. Lyrically the songs talks about internet romance and love through the internet.
