I talk a lot about bands and their original sound, but it also takes a special time of talent to take a song and make it your own. Keeping that in mind, let’s take a look at 5 bands that are best known for their covers.
First to Eleven

Like almost every band on this list, “First To Eleven” isn’t purely a cover band and besides their killer covers they also have two original banger filled eps released.
With that being said, this list of course focuses more on the covers, like most bands they stared by releasing music and their covers through Youtube, the first cover uploaded by the band is an acoustic rendition of “Twenty One Pilots” “Tear in My Heart”
Now on to my favorite covers the band has released, ’ve got three covers by the band that are on my rotation, Firstly there is a song that gives me a throwback: “Gives You Hell” by “The All American Rejects”, then there is one that turns a recent indie song into more of a rock anthem, with their cover of “Drivers license” by “Olivia Rodrigo” and lastly there is their banging cover of “Wanted Dead or Alive” by “Bon Jovi” re-introducing an absolute classic.
Twenty One Two

This Swedish duo consisting of one drummer and one vocalist/guitarist has made upbeat rock/ pop punk covers their brand. With a slew of covers been released by the band since 2016 there is a good change they have covered your favorite pop song at one point or another. Most notably about all these covers is that they are self produced and feature elaborate music videos.
My favorite covers by the band are their rock version of “Blinding lights” by “The weeknd”, the more obscure cover of “The Cure’s” – “Friday I’m in love” and their cover of “Mood” by “24kGoldn” Ft “iann dior”
Halocene

As stated about most bands on this list, “Halocene” doesn’t only release covers but the band has found their stride through weekly YouTube uploads of covers and live performances over twitch.
Noteworthy is the range of artist they cover, from “Halestorm” to “Taylor Swift” and everything in between. Other achievements of note are their tours supporting artist such as our “Fall Out Boy” and “Blink 182” as well as playing warped tour.
My favorite covers by them are “Kickstart My Heart” by “Mötley Crüe”, “I Love Me” by “Demi Lovato” and “Sugar, We’re Going Down” by “Fall Out Boy”
Our Last Night

I’m going to sound like a broken record but “Our Last Night” isn’t purely a cover band but also has a slew of solo material, that being said they are mostly known for their Pop Goes Punk style covers of popular songs.
The band has been going for 9 years with uploading covers on their YouTube channel, but they also go for an extra layer with their covers by making medleys of multiple songs and re-imagining cartoon theme songs.
My favorite covers by them are the cover of “My Ex’s Best Friend” by “MGK” and “Blackbear”, “All We Know” by “The Chainsmokers” and lastly their Jock Jams Medley
Terabrite

Its been more than two years since “Terabrite” lastly released a cover, but they are the only band on this list that was purely a cover band, even through these days they are more focused on their gaming content.
Their inclusion on this list is mostly nostalgia based but when they still where making music you cant deny they got some banging covers worth to be featured on some pop goes punk style album.
My favorite covers by them are their cover of “Ariana Grande”-“No Tears Left To Cry”, “I See Stars”- “Running With Scissors” and lasty their “Taylor Swift” Reputation Mashup
