Release Radar #85

It’s Friday again and that means time for a new release radar! Let’s see what’s on the menu!

Go To Hell – Between You & Me ft Yours Truly

Opening with slow drums and soft guitar, the song quickly introduces the vocals into the mix. Flowing into the energetic chorus. Which, introduces pounding drums into the instrumentation. The second verse keeps the same type of instrumentation but introduces Mikaila her vocals to the mix. The second chorus mixes up the vocals and adds some more effects, flowing into the bridge. The song ends with one last chorus.

Lyrically the song talks about optimism, the state of the world and the protagonist reflection on  a past relationship.

What I like about this song are the guest vocals of “Yours Truly’s” Mikaila and the chemistry they bring in the second part of the song.

Anyway – Snow Coats

Starting of with slow guitars and pounding drums, the vocals flow into the song, melting with the instrumentals. The chorus reels you in with its hook and adds some backing vocals into the mix. The second verse strips back the instrumentals before building back up to the chorus. The bridge itself is a continuation of the chorus which keeps going until the song introduces its instrumental outro.

Lyrically the song talks about growing apart and the protagonist feelings throughout that process.

What I like about this song is the slow put poppy vibe.

Waste of Breath – Like Pacific

The song opens with some slow drums and guitars, before introducing the vocals. The vocals feel like the main focus until the chorus introduces fast instrumentals matching the vocal energy. The second chorus keeps it much the same as the first as does the second chorus. The bridge ads some backing vocals but mostly keeps going with the chorus.

Lyrically the song feels like the protagonist is self reflecting on his past failures and behaviors.

What I like about this song is the vocal flow and how the instrumentals perfectly follow the energy of the vocals.

Think Of You – Mayday Parade

Opening with an acoustic guitars and background effects, the songs vocals are introduced during an instrumental pause, after which they flow together with the instrumentals. The chorus speeds things up a little but not to much, just calmly flowing by. The bridge gives the instrumentals their time to shine. The song ends with one last chorus.

Lyrically the song is a love song, with the protagonist proclaiming that he will always be thinking of his lover.

What I like about this song is the soft and emotional vibe, which in a way adds to the nostalgia that comes with “Mayday Parade”

Bridges -Only Seven Left

Starting with distorted guitar, the song slowly introduces pounding drums and heavier guitar. The vocals have a harder edge to them, kicking it louder on the chorus. The second verse gets on the soft side again, kicking into high gear on the second chorus. The bridge uses some slower instrumentation and has the vocals slowly build up to one last chorus.

Lyrically the song talks about moving on and leaving the past be!

What I like about this song is the energetic chorus, that just hooks you into the song!
