Its time for another release radar, so let’s dive right in.
Miss Me – Honey Revenge

Opening with what sounds like a phone call and distorted guitars, the band quickly adds drums to the mix. The chorus feels more poppy with rhythmic guitars The second verse gets back on the distorted guitars, and keeps this feel into the bridge, where the vocals get their moment to shine. The song ends with one last chorus.
Lyrically the song talks about the protagonist being lied too, and being lead on by someone.
What I like about this song is the hook on the chorus to start with and the energetic pop rock/ pop punk feel it gives. Lastly the vocals seem the seamlessly fit the instrumentation.
I miss 2003 – As It Is

Starting off with a lone synth, the song quickly introduces electronic beats and vocals into the mix. The chorus adds some layered vocals to the mix, before introducing drums, distorted guitars and screaming vocals into the mix. The second verse returns to the electronics, kicking back to the chorus with louder instrumentals. Going back to the electronics on the bridge, before using drums to introduce one last chorus.
Lyrically the song talks about emotional problems and nostalgia for 2003.
What I like about this song are the emo rap influences on the verse, which contrast with the traditional feel on the chorus itself.
Bite Me – Avril Lavigne

Kicking in with guitar and powerful vocals, the song quickly gets in its flow, with a more poppy feeling chorus going louder and faster. The second verse takes things slower again, to give the next chorus its energy. The bridge takes the instrumentals more ambient but builds up to one last chorus.
Lyrically the song is a warning from the protagonist to anyone that will listen.
What I like about this song is the overall 2000s feel, which comes to show that Avril is still a pop punk queen.
Hurt Less – LØLØ

Opening with dreamy vocals and slow distorted guitar, the song slowly adds more instruments into the mix. The chorus goes louder with the instrumentals but keeps the vocal energy. The second chorus follows the blueprint of the first and slowly builds to the second chorus. The slow played chorus keeps in the flow of the song. The bridges goes for an acoustic segment but quickly brings back the full instrumentals for the chorus.
Lyrically the song talks about heartbreak and all the things that will hurt less than it.
What I like about this song is the more chill vibe it gives of in its vocals and it’s pacing.
Give It All Up – Only Seven Left

Opening with slow synths and guitar as well as soft vocals, the song keeps with its relaxing vibe on the chorus. The second verse keeps the trend going but adds some more vocal effects. The chorus flows by again, before the band introduces the bridge, on which the vocals are the main star. The song ends with one last chorus.
Lyrically the song is about heartbreak and wanting someone back, and trading that for everything.
What I like about this song is the more mellow vibe it gives with the song slowly flowing by.
