It’s time for Release Radar, no artificial flavors added, Lets look at the 5 release for this week!
Pitch Black – Heart Attack Man

Opening with acoustic guitar, the song introduces distorted guitars and louder guitars on the second half of the first verse, this flows right into the chorus, which ends in an instrumental break. The second verse keeps with the energy and gives even harsher vocals, flowing back into the hook of the chorus. The bridge is a reworking of the chorus which ends with the same acoustics as the opening of the song
Lyrically the song talks about being at rock bottom and falling back into mental issues, over and over again.
What I like about this song is the raw emotional energy and the contrast between the acoustic parts and all out kicks on the song.
Scavenger – Youth Fountain

Kicking of with a slow electric guitar, the band quickly goes into high gear with pounding drums and distorted guitars. The songs heartfelt vocals reel you into the chorus and the song quickly flows forward. The second verse follows the same route into the chorus with the band only slowing down on the bridge, slowly building up to the hard hitting end of the song.
Lyrically the song talks about the emotional pain involved with heartbreak and the feel of loss.
What I like about this song is the hard-hitting end, that contrast with the slow bridge preceding it , as well as the quick passed nature of the song.
Broke & Beautiful – Girlsgirlsgirls

Starting of with synths and drums, the song quickly adds vocals to the mix. The band adds louder guitars to the instrumentation at the chorus. The second verse takes things al little slower, getting back to the distorted guitars on the chorus. The bridge focuses on the vocals’ first, before some shredding guitars start the end of the song.
Lyrically the song is an ode to all the outcasts or as the band puts it “The Broke & Beautiful”
What I like about this song is the pop feel and the use of synths.
Ordinary – Dazyface & Cayley Spivey

Opening with slow synths beats Dazy his vocals are added first, effects are added to his vocals at the introduction of the chorus, which also adds more instruments to the mix. The second verse is sung by Cayley and changes up the flow into the chorus. Going with more vocal effects on the bridge, the song adds a third verse which is alternated between Dazy and Cayley. The song ends with one last chorus.
Lyrically the song is a celebration and a support for those that feel different or are different.
What I like about this song is the message first, and the summer type beats its delivered with just at to my enjoyment of the song.
Anniversary – Incase We Crash

Starting of with slow distorted guitars, vocals and drums are quickly introduced with the guitars keeping their slow strumming. The instrumentation changes a little on the chorus but keeps its slow emotional feel. The song goes faster again at the end of the second verse and takes things louder on the bridge, before stripping the instrumentation down. Going louder once more the song ends with one last chorus.
Lyrically the song talks about a relationship gone wrong and wanting to stay with the one you love.
What I like about this song is the raw emotional feel it gives off and the way it alternates with its soft instrumentals and loud leashes.
