Release Radar #75

It’s time for a new release radar again, let’s dive in.

Split Personality -Hot Milk

Starting off with pounding drums, synths and heavy guitars, Han her vocals are quickly added, with the pre-chorus consisting of eerie instrumentals before kicking of with its energy. The second verse is carried by Jim with the chorus kicking of in its energy again. The bridge mixes electronics and traditional instruments being more atmospheric and working toward the climax of the song.

Lyrically the song talks about, well a “Split Personality” and the protagonists struggles with it.

What I like about this song is the overall energy that is displayed, the song starts and just keeps going.

ILY, HOW ARE YOU? – As It Is

Opening with electronic beats and patty his vocals the song adds guitars and drums to the instrumentation at the chorus. The second verse blows-by before the song gets back to the chorus. Going instrumental on the bridge the song ends with one last chorus.

Lyrically the song talks about seeing someone else struggling and not knowing how to help that person.

What I like about this song is how it vocally flows and gives off the elements of a rap song.

Burnout- Fluorescents

Kicking of with pounding drums and distorted guitars. The song keeps its tempo on the verses, only slowing down before the chorus. The second verse starts slower but quickly gets up-tempo again with a second chorus. On the bridge the band goes in full breakdown mode, before ending with one last chorus.

Lyrically the song talks about perseverance and being doubted.

What I like about this song is its momentum, going fast almost from start to finish

House Of Mirrors – Softcult

Opening with ambient sounds and synths, the song slowly adds guitar into the mix. Dreamy vocals are added on the first verse, getting louder at the chorus. The song flows forward at the second verse. The second chorus is a dreamier than the first. Instrumentals fill the bridge and also serve as the ending of the song.

Lyrically the song talks about self-worth and being tired of making comparisons

What I like about this song is the overall dreamy vibe.

Heartbroken People – SHADED

Starting of with acoustic guitar and electronic effects, the song quickly introduces the vocals. The chorus adds drums into the mix, but keeps with the relaxing tone. Following the same blueprint on the second verse, the song gets back to the chorus. The bridge feels more like a third verse and the song ends with one last chorus.

Lyrically the song talks about lost love and the hurt it brings

What I like about this song is the overall relaxing vibe it gives off.
