Just Kidding – Waterparks

Opening with some sultry beats that go throughout the song, the songs focuses on Awsten his vocals and lyrical content. The dreamy flow pulls you into the song and the song seems to be over before you know it.
Lyrically the song reflects on the toxicity of social media and Awsten his dread in using it, as well as the overall burden of fame and the toll it takes on once mental health.
What I like about this song is the quick flow, and how the dark lyrics still form pop hooks on the chorus.
Cult – With Confidence

Starting off with drowned out vocals and slow acoustic guitar, kicks into louder instrumentals but than takes things a little slower again. Rhythmic drums and slow bass fill the song with explosions of distorted guitars under emotional vocals filling the chorus. The bridge takes it a step further with the electric guitars but then dies down to re-introduce the chorus again. The song ends with one last chorus.
Lyrically the song talks about a smothering relationship, as well as toxicity in relationships.
What I like about this song is the overall campfire vibe that I get from it.
Stains – DE’WAYNE

Kicking right of with DE’WAYNE’s fast vocals, the song quickly adds its electric guitar and fast beats, going into the half of the song. The song gets slow and more hip-hop flavored around the bridge. The song picks up right again after the bridge, playing until being played out by the electric guitar.
Lyrically the song talks about DE’WAYNE’s struggles getting into both the scene and the industry, and turning it around by talking about his success, showing those that didn’t believe in him that they were wrong.
What I like about this song is the fast flow of the lyrics and the hard-hitting instrumentals.
We’re Going Out Again – Tusky

Starting of with loud vocals and fast distorted guitars, the song adds drums and quickly goes into the song. Taking it slower around the chorus before going on again. Rhythmic guitars are added with more gloomy vocals. The song keeps with this gloomy vibe and dark guitar tones. The bridge fills with screaming and harder guitars, before ending the song with a chorus.
Lyrically the song is more of a re-introduction of the band and is more focused on the fact that Tusky is back.
What I like about this song is the darker and gloomy tones the songs shows, combined with the heavy guitars.
Tunnel Vision – The Overslept

Opening with electric drums, keeps is electronic vibe by adding robotic vocals into the mix. The chorus does away with the electronic elements and adds guitars and drums. Going back to the electronics again on the second verse, the song flows to the chorus faster this time. The bridge takes al elements into a different direction. The song ends with one last chorus.
Lyrically the song talks about tunnel vision obviously, and the importance of critical thinking when presented with information.
What I like about this song are the electronic elements contrasting with the traditional instrumentation.
