5 Christmas Songs I Think You Should Check Out!

No release radar today, as its Christmas, so let’s take a look at 5 scene Christmas songs I think you should check out. Happy holidays to all and let’s dive in.

Christmas Eve Can Kill You- Speak Low (originally by Everly Brothers)

Christmas Eve Can Kill You- Speak Low (originally by Everly Brothers)

The newest song on this list, with it being released this week. The cover has traded the tape machine instrumentals for an acoustic guitar, but still tells the tail of a man trying to hitch a ride on Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass- All Time Low

Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass- All Time Low

A change of tone from the previous entry. This song can be counted as a classic on scene and pop punk Christmas playlist. While, the song is more of a break-up song with Christmas flair. It’s still fun to sing along while gathered around the tree.

Yule Shoot Your Eye Out- Fall Out Boy

Yule Shoot Your Eye Out- Fall Out Boy

Another classic in my eyes and also more of a break-up song than a Christmas song. Telling the other person to not come home for Christmas and basically proclaiming that you don’t care about Christmas. All wrapped up in a catchy sing along song.

I Had a Heart – Real Friends

I Had a Heart – Real Friends

Time for a relatively newer song, keeping with the emotional tones “Real Friends” is known for “I Had a Heart” deals with loneliness on Christmas with the protagonist drawing comparisons to the Christmas that went before it, and proclaiming that this is the time to start over. Having a sad subject but also showing hope as the contrast in this song.

Alone This Holiday- The Used

Alone This Holiday- The Used

Again more of a Christmas themed break-up song than a full fledged Christmas song. The song still keeps up for Christmas. With lyrics being more about the break-up, telling the other person they be alone this holiday, because the protagonist left. The song also give some positive notes by proclaiming “make this Christmas your own”
