5 bands you should check out

I’m always busy regarding music and love discovering new bands and artist, here’s this month 5 bands I think you should check out.   

1. We were sharks

We Were Sharks

We were sharks is a pop punk five piece from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 2010 the band consists of vocalist Randy Frobel, guitarist Jason Mooney, guitarist Josh King, guitarist Colin Jacques, bassist Steve Creaturo and drummer Will Plummer

Currently has put out two eps, “Highways” in 2012 and “Not a Chance” in 2015 and one full album “Lost touch” in 2018. During 2018 the band toured North America with bands like “Abandoned by Bears” “Belmont” and “Such Gold“.

What I like about their sound is the crunchy guitars, and aggressive sounds in the vain of bands like “Four Year Strong” Tracks I recommend are “Hotel Beds” “Bridge Burner” and “a Summer on Elm Street”   

2. Lonely Avenue

Lonely Avenue

Lonely Avenue is a four-headed pop punk/easycore band from Sacramento California Usa, founded 2010 the band currently consist of vocalist Casey Bayles, Guitarist Patrick Bergevin, Bassist Gabe Ward and Drummer Gavin Prophet

Currently the band has released two albums “Taking the Road Less traveled” in 2016 and “Attack on Robot Pirate Island” the band has been opening for bands like “Crown the Empire”, “Attila” and “Courage My Love

What I like about their sound is the mix of modern pop punk and Easycore in the vain of bands like “Set Your Goals” and “A Day to Remember” song I recommend are “I’m Not Sorry”, “Ready for Home” and “Even the Devil Wears Makeup!”

3. Offshore

Offshore

Offshore are a pop rock band from London, England. Founded in 2017 the band currently consists of vocalist/guitarist Callum Richards, guitarist Jasper Whitehead, bassist Harvey Rafferty and drummer Oscar Churchy.

Currently the band has released one ep “Ocean Devotion” in 2018 and toured with artist like “The Verse” and “Bronnie

What I like about their sound is the more mellow summer vibe, songs I recommend are “Made in California” “Move for Me” and “Ocean Devotion”  

4. The Seafloor Cinema

The Seafloor Cinema

The Seafloor Cinema is an Emo/Math rock band from Sacramento, California, USA founded in 2017 the band currently consist of Bassist/Vocalist Justin Murry, guitarist Douglas Andreasen, guitarist Anthony and drummer Neil Valencia

Currently the band has released one Ep “I’m Still Sad” in 2018 and one full album “A Metaphor for Honesty” in 2019

What I like about their sound is the emo vibe in the vain of bands like “Tiny Moving Parts” and early “Fall out Boy

Songs I recommend are “Friendzoned Again” “Swords Dance” and “If You Were a Robot, You’d Tell Me, Right?”  

5. Point north

Point North

Point North is a Pop Punk and Emo three piece from Los Angeles, California, Usa founded in 2017 the band currently consists of vocalist Jon Lundin, guitarist Andy Hershey, and drummer Sage Weeber

The band has released one album “A light in a Dark Place” in 2018 and one Ep “Retrograde” in 2019.

Recently the band has signed with hopeless records and have announced they will support Sleeping with Sirens on their 2020 summer tour. And the band has toured with bands like “As It Is” and “Stand Atlantic”  

What I like about their sound is their harder hitting emo sound in the vain of bands like “Mayday Parade” and “As It Is” songs I recommend are “Hammer” “Ghost in My Home” and “Never Coming Home”
